How It Works
Think you’d be a great fit for the Skein Squad? We’re looking for knitters and crocheters who love sharing their makes online and enjoy being part of the fiber arts community.
❗ Due to shipping limitations, the Skein Squad is currently limited to U.S. residents.
Just fill out a quick application to tell us about your crafting style and social media presence. You don’t need a huge following — we care more about creativity, consistency, and your love of yarn!
Spots are limited, and not all applicants will be accepted, but you’re always welcome to reapply.
Once accepted, you’ll get access to a password-protected section of the shop where new colorways are listed before they launch to the public. This is where you’ll use your exclusive 50% off + free shipping code to select yarn for upcoming collections.
At this time, only one of each item is available in the ambassador section. Once a skein is claimed, it won’t be restocked at the ambassador price. Each skein is also about 5 grams lighter than retail, since a small amount has been used to create a swatch for photography consistency.
There’s no quota, but to stay active in the program, you’ll need to make a purchase at least once every three collection launches. If you ever need a break, just let us know!
For each yarn you purchase through the ambassador portal, you’ll need to create and submit a few pieces of content to help showcase the colorway in action.
Here’s what we ask for:
1 lifestyle photo featuring a finished item made with the yarn
1 vertical-format video (10–20 seconds) that highlights the yarn or project
3 or more social media posts or videos
Each collection will include specific posting and submission dates, which will be shared with you when new yarns become available. You’ll have plenty of notice, and the timelines are designed to be flexible but consistent with launch planning.
When posting, please:
Tag Mickey and Marie with the relevant handle in captions and photos/videos
Use the provided hashtags and include your 20% off coupon code
Follow FTC guidelines (e.g., include #ad or #ambassador where appropriate)

There’s no pressure to participate in every launch, but staying active helps keep things running smoothly for everyone.
To remain in the Skein Squad, we ask that you make a purchase from at least one out of every three collection launches. If you haven’t made a purchase for two launches in a row, you’ll receive a reminder email. After three missed launches, your ambassador discount code will be temporarily deactivated. You’re always welcome to reach out if you need a break or want to rejoin later.
We also ask that all required photos, videos, and posts are submitted within the collection’s content window. If a deadline is missed, we’ll send a check-in email. After two reminders, a third missed deadline may result in removal from the program.
